There are several little treasure troves hidden around Sevierville where you can find trinkets to add to your collection. From antique stores and flea markets to specialty stores you might not think of – like Smoky Mountain Knife Works. If you keep your eyes peeled, you will find just the right spot filled with glistening milk glass, depression glass, curios, casted mirrors and handmade quilts.
Hiking the Great Outdoors
The Smokies are covered with undeniably wonderful hiking trails filled with gifts from nature along the way. Search for the perfect trail based on what you’d like it to lead you to. There are waterfall trails, trails that lead to past settlements and trails with jaw-dropping views. The trails are also graded on difficulty so you can choose one that fits your needs and abilities. Ride Horseback Through the Smokies

Visit the Sevierville Farmers Market
Each Friday morning from June through the first weekend in October, historic downtown Sevierville bustles with vendors selling local honey, farm fresh veggies, fresh squeezed orange juice and other delectable items. Take your time and explore downtown’s quaint shops (from quilt stores to trendy gift boutiques and thrift stores). Then have your picture made with the bronze statue of Dolly Parton located in the heart of downtown Sevierville. Market hours are 9am until 1:30pm on Fridays.
Enjoy a Picnic Riverside
Pack your baskets and head to the waters of the Smokies! Plop down on a cool blanket or use a picnic table to suit your spread. Eat, drink and relax together. The joy of picnicking by the riverside is after lunch splash time! Don’t forget your towel and a dry pair of shoes. Most riverside picnicking spots will offer small trails for light hiking.

Float around the lazy river while you work on your tan or take “The Plunge” with a ride on Big Bear Plunge. Dry off for an afternoon lunch in the sun on the lawn chairs. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
