Wander Through Wild Flowers
One of the prettiest views in the Smokies this time of year is looking down. The abundance of wildflowers blooming in the area is truly spectacular. Plan a trip from April 19-23 and enjoy the 66th Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in the Smokies! The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is five-day event in the national park offering professionally guided programs which explore the region’s rich wildflowers, wildlife, ecology, culture, and natural history through walks, motorcades, photographic tours, art classes, and indoor seminars. Most programs are outdoors in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so you can fully experience the beauty of spring in the Smokies.
Explore the Arts Community
The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community exudes tradition and local pride. Take a piece of the Smokies home with you from one of the local artisans whose work is on display along this trail. This is a local treasure and a must see for any trip to the Smokies!
Take part in some friendly competition by racing go karts or playing putt putt. Feel like a kid again and spend quality time with your friends this spring! The Parkway is lined with exciting attractions – like mini golf, go kart tracks and arcades – from Sevierville to Gatlinburg. Challenge your friends (and yourself) and feel like a kid again!
Pack a Picnic
Pack some of your favorite snacks and grab a bottle of wine from a Sevierville winery and enjoy a picnic with your best friends anywhere in the Smoky Mountains! Treat yourself after a long hike up a trail such as Andrews Bald or drive to a great spot through places like Cades Cove. Either way, the sights and smells of nature combined with the laughter and great company of your friends make for an enjoyable time together in the mountains.
