Getting hungry in Sevierville? Not to worry – Thai Basil has you covered. This welcoming family restaurant offers a number of authentic Thai dishes, cooked to your specifications. Thai Basil is an unassuming little restaurant, located in a strip mall at 530 Winfield Dunn Parkway. The atmosphere is pleasant, but not opulent, and what this charming eatery might lack in opulence it more than makes up for in friendly, fast service and outstanding food. Over the years, Thai Basil has welcomed locals and tourists alike, and has definitely earned its outstanding rating and great reviews at Yelp.com. For a night out that is a great treat with friends and family, you’ll want to stop at this intriguing restaurant. It’s a unique experience that’s really popular in Sevierville!

A Varied Menu

Of course one of the most pleasing Thai dishes is a stir fry, and Thai Basil does it up beautifully. They’ll customize your dish, too, so you can choose from mild, medium hot, and really hot! You can also choose your spice level in their curry dishes. All stir fries and curries come on a generous bed of white rice.

A Little Something Extra

If you like a little something to start off your meal, you’ll love what’s on offer at Thai Basil. They go well beyond the usual egg rolls, offering delectable choices like crab meat cheese rolls, fried tofu, Thai dumplings, fresh shrimp basil rolls and more. If you’re undecided, try the House Sampler, which is a selection of the most popular appetizers. If salad is your thing, you might try the Big Thai salad, made with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, egg, shrimp, chicken, onion and carrot in a light lime dressing, or the Glass Noodle Salad, which consists of bean threads, shrimp, chicken, red onion, roasted chili paste and lime juice.

Main Dishes Offer an Amazing Taste Experience

Main dishes at Thai Basil are beyond delicious, with offerings like curried salmon, spicy squid, yellow curried eggplant, drunken noodles and more. Whatever you choose, you’ll love it, and you’ll probably want to come back again to try something else. When you come to dine at Thai Basil in Sevierville, you’ll have a taste experience like no other. The chefs provide the ultimate in Thai cuisine, and every day they’ll prepare meals for you that will be unparalleled.  So, if you’re a fan of oriental cuisine, Thai Basil is the place to be. Bring your friends and family to experience the best in Thai cuisine, and plan to come back again. Dinner is great at Thai Basil, but be sure to check out their lunch specials, Monday – Friday, 11:00 am – 3 pm. You can also try their kids’ menu, sides and desserts. The fried banana rolls sound too good to pass up!

Discover FoxFire Mountain Family Adventure Park

Posted on August 18, 2017 by Lauren Wilkerson Posted in Outdoor Adventures .

FOXFIRE

Foxfire Mountain is a family farm in Sevierville, TN that has been was converted in 2010 by owners Marc and Marion Postlewaite into an adventure park. When you come to this Smoky Mountain attraction, you’ll be welcomed warmly and made to feel as though you’ve always
belonged there. In fact, maybe you do. The scenery is breathtaking, bordered by Mountains (Prosperity, Bear Wallow and Foxfire) on three sides. On the valley side, the Little Pigeon River bubbles cheerily.

A Fun-Filled Getaway with Something for Everyone

Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park has something for everybody in your family. If you’re
tired of “corporate” parks that all seem to come from the same “cookie cutter” template, then you’ll love FoxFire Mountain. It’s a fun-filled getaway that features zip lining, swinging bridges, rope courses and more, as well as great food once you’re done!

Family Fun!

Foxfire Mountain’s first attraction, and still one of the most popular, is 7-line Waterfall Canopy tour, which is based on a similar attraction that the Postlewaite family discovered when visiting Alaska. If you’re especially brave, you’ll get plenty of thrills on the Goliath course, which consists of five of the highest, fastest lines in all of the Smoky Mountains. ATV aficionados will enjoy the guided Bear Crawler tours, which take you through some wonderfully mountainous terrain. If you’re not troubled by heights, you’ll want to check out the Bridge to Prosperity – there’s no longer swinging bridge in all of the United States, at 330 feet, and it’s suspended 70 feet above the river. There’s also a climbing wall, rope course, and play area for the kids. All that activity is bound to make you hungry, so visit the Zippn’ Pig Barbeque Shack – you’ll enjoy delicious hickory smoked pork heaped on Hawaiian bread and drenched in a special sauce.  You can wash it all down with hand-crafted ciders (hard and soft) from the Wylie Cidery, which was added in 2016. When you take all this into account, you’ll see why Foxfire Mountain enjoys a 5-star TripAdvisor rating.

Natural Beauty & So Much to Explore!

Almost anything you’d like to do is on offer at Foxfire Mountain, and even better, they’re open all year long, so you can enjoy all the seasons! If you book a cabin in the Smoky Mountains in the off-season, too, you will probably get a better rate. That’s not guaranteed, though, since the Smoky Mountains are very popular all year round. As well, you’ll be close to the town of Gatlinburg, so if you want to go shopping or enjoy a great restaurant meal, you can. The natural beauty of Foxfire Mountain is one of the best reasons to consider a Smoky Mountain getaway, but there are other things to explore, too. So come, stay and enjoy!

ATV Through the Smokies with Bluff Mountain Adventures

Posted on August 11, 2017 by Lauren Wilkerson Posted in Outdoor Adventures .

ATV

Is there anything more fun than blasting through a trail on an ATV? We don’t believe there is, and one of the very best places for ATV enthusiasts is the Smoky Mountains. Come to Sevierville, and experience outdoor adventure with an exciting ATV tour from Bluff Mountain Adventures. You’ll enjoy a guided ride over more than 6,999 acres of wilderness trail, crossing streams and mountains, and just generally having the time of your life. There’s nothing more exciting than ATV-ing through the Smoky Mountains!! Look forward to your trip by checking Bluff Mountain Adventures’ 5 star ratings on Trip Advisor!

Ride the Bluff!

We offer guided tours for people of practically all ages, with just a few exceptions. For safety reasons, we do have certain age and height requirements. You have to be 12 or older to go on one of our tours, and at least 4’9″ tall. If you’re under 12, we’ll still let you come in a sidecar, but you will still have to be at least 4’9″ tall. On our intro rides, we welcome riders of all experience levels, so if you’re new to the sport of ATV-ing, you won’t be overwhelmed by overly difficult terrain. We’ll take you through lush forests on an adventure that you’ll remember forever. Bring your camera!

The Trails

We have trails for both beginners and experienced riders. If you have a lot of experience, you will thrill to our Mountain Trail Adventure ride, which takes you right to the top of the bluff and allows you to cross a lot of rough terrain and streams. If you’re a bit less experienced, then the Custom Trail Ride is an ideal introduction to this exciting sport. You’ll cover a bit less terrain, and you’ll have a guide to help you along the way. Since this is a guided tour, though, you do have to book a day in advance. The Ridge Run is our most advanced ride, and we don’t recommend it for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of ATV experience. Some of the trails are very narrow, and at times, you might be riding along the very edge of the mountain. It’s beyond thrilling, but not suitable for beginners.

Gear

Whatever ride you choose, you should make sure to have the right gear. Bluff Mountain Adventures will provide you with a helmet and goggles, but you should also make sure to wear sturdy footgear. In the winter, bring gloves and perhaps a thermos full of hot coffee or cocoa. In the summer, you can get by with shorts and t-shirts, but fly dope would be a very good idea. Bring along a bottle of water as well.

Family Fun at Briarwood Ranch Safari Park

Explore Sevierville

Briarwood Ranch Safari Park offers a fun-filled adventure for people of all ages. When you come to Briarwood, you’ll be taken on a four-mile safari through pastures and hills, and you’ll get to be up close and personal with all kinds of different animals. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, then book your tour now!

See Animals Up Close

When you visit Briarwood Ranch Safari Park, you’ll get to ride through beautiful terrain where you’ll see all kinds of exotic animals in surroundings that most resemble their natural habitat. If you’ve ever wondered how animals behave in the wild, you’ll find out, up close and personal, but from the comfort of your vehicle. You’ll want to take lots of pictures, of course, and you’ll definitely get some amazing shots, since you can see the animals in very close proximity. Before you visit, check out Briarwood’s great reviews at TripAdvisor.com – this attraction has definitely earned its outstanding rating!

Your Safari

For your safety, Briarwood Ranch Safari Park asks that you follow a few simple procedures. First of all, it’s important that you stay in your vehicle at all times – this is because during mating season, animals can behave very unpredictably, and if you exit your vehicle, you could put yourself in danger. It’s fine to keep your windows down  – in fact, that’s how you’ll feed the animals! Only feed from buckets – otherwise, you could end up being nipped. Keep your speed down to 5 miles per hour, and watch out for animals that might be below your direct line of vision. You can drive through the park as many times as you wish throughout your visit.  In addition to seeing animals up close, you can also enjoy tractor pulls, wagon rides, a petting zoo and picnic areas. Coming to Briarwood is a great way to celebrate a birthday, or enjoy a family reunion. Of course the main thing is the animals, including the gorgeous white buffalo – and imagine having elk, water buffalo, zebras, ostriches and more walking right up to you to take treats out of your hand! Watch out for the llamas, though – they’re sneaky, and they’ll steal treats right out of your pockets!

Explore Sevierville

There are other things to do in nearby Sevierville as well, so if you like, you can venture into town to enjoy a restaurant, shop, or just mingle with the locals. So bring the kids and hang out with all the amazing animals. There are plenty of attractions to be found in the Smoky Mountains, so you might want to consider renting one of the many delightful mountain cabins in the area, and plan to stay for a while. Book early, though, because even during the off-season, accommodations can be limited. Enjoy your stay, and plan to come back!
